NEEDHAM: Needham Town Hall, 1471 Highland Avenue, Needham, MA 02492
Needham veterans can meet with the Veterans' Service Officer every other Monday from 9:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Needham Town Hall and every Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the following locations: Thursday mornings from 9:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at the Center at the Heights (COA), Thursday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Needham Town Hall. Appointments can be made at available times at any of the four locations. To see the hours for all four locations, please click here. Please call to schedule an appointment.

The Needham Board of Selectmen have signed a Proclamation designating Needham as a Purple Heart Community. In honor of this the Purple Heart Flag will be flown each year on August 7th.

MEETING NOTICE: The next meeting of the West Suburban Veterans’ District has been scheduled for Monday, December 18, 2017. The meeting takes place in the Wayland Town Hall.  All are welcome to attend.

Veterans Day 2016 in Needham included a wonderful ceremony at Memorial Park followed by a coaltion at

Needham's VFW. Director of Veteran Services Sarada Kalpee then went on to Avery Manor in Needham to say Thank You to 14 of our Veterans that are cared for in this facility. A pinning ceremony and cake was enjoyed by all. click here to see photos.

    Needham’s Avery Crossing and Avery Manor celebrated Veterans Day by inviting resident Veterans to socialize and share their stories. 19 veterans attended. Former WSVD Deputy Director John MacGillivray spoke briefly and thanked participants for their military service. The pictures shown below capture some of the event.
