Election Day
- Polls will be open 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Tuesday March 3, 2026.
- Some of the polling locations have CHANGED. See Map. The polls will be open on Election Day from 7 AM to 8 PM.

Accessible Electronic Voting Now Available!
The Accessible Electronic Voting System is available to voters who are unable to independently read, write or physically manipulate or mark paper ballots because of a disability.

Voter Registration
The last day to register to vote for the Annual Town Election is Friday February 20, 2026 at 5:00 PM. US Citizens who reside in Wellesley and are at least 18 years of age on election day may register at Town Hall, 525 Washington Street or online here with a Massachusetts drivers license.
Vote by Mail
Voters are encouraged to Vote by Mail. The application is also available here.
The last day to request a Vote by Mail ballot for the March 3, 2026 Annual Town Elections is Tuesday February 24, 2026 at 5:00 pm.
Vote by Mail ballots, must be received by Town Hall, no later than 8:00 PM on Tuesday March 3, 2026 at 525 Washington Street. Vote by Mail ballots may NOT be dropped off at polling locations.
Ballots may be returned to the Payment and Elections Drop Box at Town Hall, 525 Washington Street.
Voters who have received a Vote by Mail ballot may change their mind and vote in-person only if they have not returned their ballot. Only the first ballot submitted will be counted.

Absentee Voting In-Person for qualified voters is available until March 2, 2026 at 12:00 noon. Appointment required.
- The candidate must be a resident of the Town, and for certain offices a registered voter. Check the Town by-law for more information.
- The Candidate must personally obtain Nomination papers from the Town Clerk. These forms are available as of December 3rd for the 2026 Annual Town Election. The candidate will supply name, address, phone, email and sign for the papers. This information is public information.
- Signatures of fifty voters registered in the Town are required (any precinct), although it is recommended that more be obtained.
- The deadline to "take out papers" will be Friday, January 9, 2026, 5 p.m.
- Papers must be returned to the Town Clerk for certification no later than 5 p.m. Tuesday January 13, 2026.
- Candidates for re-election for Town Wide offices must also obtain signatures, unlike Town Meeting Member candidates.
- We request the use of your email address for election related messages and for Town Meeting communication if you are elected. This email is intended for the use of the Town Clerk to notify candidates and Town Meeting Members of events or information of interest to them. The list is a public record.
- Elected candidates must be sworn in by the Town Clerk prior to exercising their office.
- In order to be candidate for Town Meeting Member, one must reside in the precinct from which one desires to run.
- Nomination papers must be obtained in person from Town Clerk's Office beginning December 3, 2025 and ending on Friday January 23, 2026 at 5 p.m.
- Ten signatures of registered voters from the precinct are required.
- It is recommended that each candidate obtain more than the minimum of ten signatures in the event that any of the signatures cannot be certified.
- The nomination papers must be returned to the Board of Registrars (Town Clerk's Office) for certification no later than Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at 5 p.m.
- Drawing of names for position on the ballot will be on Wednesday January 28, 2026 at 9 a.m. at Town Hall, 525 Washington Street, Wellesley, MA 02482. The drawing will be available to the public.
- Any current Town Meeting Member who is running for re-election need only complete and return the notice of intent to run by January 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m..
- There are no campaign finance reporting requirements for Town Meeting Candidates.

- The Election is March 3, 2026. Polls open 7:00 a.m..
- Elected Candidates will be invited to attend an orientation meeting with the Moderator, usually the week prior to the beginning of Town Meeting.
- Elected candidates will be sworn into office at the first night of the Annual Town Meeting.
